In our time there are couples who refused to have children. They fear that they will not be able to provide the child with a good life. They fear that they will not be able to spend quality time with the child. There are so many fears in our time. During the days of old, women having children was considered to be blessed and those that were barren were despised. Some of the barren women seek to have children and offered many prayers and promises to God just to have a child. Like the promise to Abraham that blessings will come from his line, each pregnancy became a precious celebration of the promise that may come from. The Bible recorded for us stories/histories that started with barren women. Abraham's wife Sarai or Sarah was barren. Genesis 11. Later they had Ismael and Isaac. Isaac's wife Rebekah or Rebecca was barren. Genesis 25. Later they had Jacob and Esau. Jacob's wife Rachel was barren. Genesis 29. Later they had the 12 tribes of Israel. Elkanah's wife Hannah was barren. 1 Samuel 1. Later they had Prophet Samuel and several other children.

In Psalm 113 - He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

We can see that there were women who longed to have children but could not have them because they were barren. However, God can accomplish much with barren women because God is the very source of life. Today, there are many Christians dissatisfy about the church and it's formed but I still believe God had instituted the church and He will bring her into glory when she announces herself pregnant. Never mind what you have or have not. God had shown Himself able to bring His people from barren to abundant so that we may know that He alone deserves all the glory.
