Touched

Mark 5 recorded many powerful deeds of Jesus. The deliverance of a demon-possessed, the healing of the woman with blood issue and finally the raising of the dead. We shall consider the case of the woman with blood issues. Imagine a sickness that exhausted both her financial and physical resources. It must be draining. Yet for 12 years this woman had not found hope anywhere. What was amazing is the fact that she did not give up seeking to be healed. She heard about Jesus healing diverse sickness and being a woman, she rather seek this healing silently. Speaking about her kind of sickness publicly was not appropriate either. Hence she decided that by touching Jesus' garment, she would be healed. A faith that few possessed. The record showed us something remarkable. Jesus seemed to know who touched Him intentionally. When Jesus asked who touched Him, the disciples could not name the many who had crowded Jesus. Perhaps a better question to answer is who have touched me with an intention to be healed? This differentiates a seeker in a crowd. May we learn to touch Jesus with an intention and not merely bringing to Him issues without seeking to be healed. The issues that cause us years of pain can end with Jesus.
Jesus healed more people who touched Him in the end of Mark chapter 6.
