What do we ask for?

Janis Joplin's Mercedes Benz Lyrics back in the 1970s goes: Oh lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends. Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends. So oh lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. Oh lord won't you buy me a color TV. Dialing for Dollars is trying to find me. I wait for delivery each day until 3. So oh lord won't you buy me a color TV. Oh lord won't you buy me a night on the town. I'm counting on you lord, please don't let me down. Prove that you love me and buy the next round. Oh lord won't you buy me a night on the town. Everybody, Oh lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends. Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends. So oh lord won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz. These are the words from the Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:9-13: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
