Many believers may have or will have to be confronted with this question, "Who shall I send?" Many have or will reply, "Here am I, send me!" This was taken from the book of Isaiah chapter 6, probably the most famous passage of Isaiah besides the one mentioning wait and soar like eagle or chapter 53 about the Messiah. Many expect great success when one says yes to invitations from God. If results were not as expected, they doubt if their response to God's invitation was a genuine one. If you have the time, read through the rest of the chapter from Isaiah 6. That invitation was not an invitation to a successful ministry. It was an invitation to a failing ministry. Isaiah was asked to hang on till it all goes to null. I am not advocating that all responses to a call like that will result in failures. What is important is that we say yes to God, we say yes to Him whether or not the result will be what we desire. What if saying yes hurts us more than it helps us? Playing a part in God's plan supersedes the result in our definition. My encouragement to those who experience slowness in anything you do is to ask yourself this question. Will you still say yes?
