Noah's ark story takes up a few chapters in Genesis. It was a big event. The whole world was wiped out leaving many questions about God unanswered. However, while the whole world was ripped for judgment, Noah found grace in the eyes of God.
Noah was instructed to build an ark of certain specific material and all we know was he had not many possible helpers. Making the tasks harder, he was instructed to take a pair of every animal into the ark. We can speculate that the animals were corporative and line up 2 by 2 like that of the Sunday school materials or we can imagine the mission impossible task where Noah had to trap tigers, drag crocodiles, and net eagles. Oh yes, remember the math of making it 7 clean animals and 2 of unclean animals. It was quite a task indeed. It was mission impossible.
However, the bible gave us hints that God was right there helping Noah built the ark. When everything and everyone was in the ark, the Lord shut them in. Imagine if Noah cannot even shut the door how could he build the ark in the first place?
The story of Noah contains many details that lead us to conclude that the project was a mission impossible but miraculously Noah completed it with the God of impossibilities.
May we learn to, when instructed, embark on projects without fear like Noah. For with God, all things are possible.
