There are millions of people following Jesus today but very few share the heartbeat of Jesus. I do not state this in a judgemental manner but neither do I want to be politically correct. Our human nature does not coincide with Jesus. If it does, things would have been much easier. Jesus was traveling with his disciples James and John. They were set to head towards Jerusalem. Passing through a village of Samaritans, they were not well received. By the way, Samaritans and Jews have little or no dealings. James and John proposed something that shocks some of us. "Should we call fire from heaven to consume them?" How many times we did that? We slammed the door at our loved ones, we almost point the middle finger at the other road users (maybe some of you really did), we hated what the preacher said and hope judgment will visit him/her instantly. Aren't we like that some times? Jesus rebuked them and told them right on their face that they had not the right spirit. He then shared his heartbeat is to save and not to destroy people. Luke 9:51-56

May we reflect our hearts and mind constantly and bring it back in alignment with Christ Jesus.
