3 Steps to Untangled Your Life

image State Archives of Florida, Florida Memory, http://floridamemory.com/items/show/82348 As an angler, the most frustrating thing is to have your fishing line entangled. Not only you literally cannot continue to fish, but you also have to spend time untangling the line. If you are in a boat at sea, focusing on that may cause nausea and that ruins your day. At times, you might need to cut some lines and re-tie your rig which costs you time and money. The word of God cautions us of the danger of being entangled by the bondage of sin (Galatians 5). I would like to suggest 3 steps to untangle ourselves. 1) Go back to God. Jesus had untangled countless people from bondages and He is approachable. He is interested to untangle you. 2) Humble yourself and ask for help. Almost every boat trip the newbies ended up with line entangled. One thing I noticed was that they were quick to seek help. When they do, most of the time people were able to help them untangle the lines. 3) Cut the line. At times the entanglement with the world cannot help us walk with God. They draw us away from God. In such a case, we need to cut ties with the world. Paddling a boat with a tied rope cannot get us anywhere.
May we learn to untangle our lives so that God can freely use us. Galatians 5:1 KJV Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
