When Little becomes Much

There is only that much we can do. That statement is very true to our everyday experience. We often feel so limited by time, energy, money, and skills. It was the same during the time of Jesus. There was a time Jesus got so popular that people followed him wherever he went. On one occasion, Jesus had to teach on a mountain so that he can be seen by his audience and some who visited that place these days were impressed by the natural acoustic amplification of sound which allows a wide audience to hear Him. That was the place where 5000 were feed. The disciples were lost when Jesus asked them to feed the crowd. There was a shortage of food during their time. They went all over to look for anyone that has a surplus of food. Only one lad gave up his lunchbox (they don't have lunchbox in their time) which contains 5 loaves and 2 fishes. They were certainly too little for 5000. Too little - a statement we are so familiar with, but we forget how much it can be used, only if it was placed in the master's hands. Yes, little becomes much as you place it in the master's hands (Lyrics from Ordinary People) - a beautiful description of what our master Jesus can do with the little we can offer. John 6 recorded the details for us.
May we never grew weary about how little we can do, but to offer them to Jesus. He can turn that into something huge. What's more, there were always surplus after everyone had enough.

ORDINARY PEOPLE Danniebelle Hall

Just ordinary people God uses ordinary people He chooses people just like me and you Who are willing to do as He commands God uses people that will give Him all No matter how small your all may seem to you Because little becomes much as you place it in the Master's hand

Just ordinary people My God uses ordinary people He chooses people just like me and you Who are willing, willing to do everything that He commands God uses people that will give Him all No matter how small your all might seem to you Because little becomes much as you place it in the Master's hand

Just like that little lad Who gave Jesus all he had How the multitude was fed With the fish and the loaves of bread What you have may not seem much But when you yield it to the touch Of the Master's loving hand, yes, Then you'll understand How your life could never be the same

Just ordinary people My God uses ordinary people He chooses people just like me and you Who are willing to do everything that He commands God uses people that will give Him all It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter how small your all may seem to you Because little becomes much as you place it in the Master's hand
