I seldom read the news these days. There is more disturbing news than good news published in the papers. Somehow the news caused more uneasiness than cheer and I decided to cherry-pick what I read if I had to.
Everywhere around the world, it seems to be messy and I concluded we are living in a messy world long ago.
This morning I was reflecting on how I can live intentionally for the Lord. In a world that constantly demands our attention how can I live intentionally for God?
While pondering about this I came across a reference in the bible that gave me a sense of direction.
Acts 17:24-27
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; [25] Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life and breath, and all things; [26] And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; [27] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he is not far from every one of us: (Highlight mine).
All the happenings under God's supervision which look messy to us is for the purpose that we may seek, feel, and find Him.
- Seek - actively looking out for God.
- Feel - reach out to God.
- Find - no need for a simpler explanation here.
May we understand God's heartbeat for us as His creation. To seek, to feel and find Him.
Thanks for the sharing and encouragements!
