The Christian Gospel is simplified for easy understanding and presentation. Most of the Gospel tracks summarize the content into these pointers:
We are all sinners.
We will be eternally separated from God and go to hell when we die in this state.
God provided Jesus to die for men.
We can receive forgiveness of sin when we believe in Jesus' sacrifice for our sins.
When we die we go to heaven.
These pointers are an accurate summary of the Gospel. However, they are not complete. A believer has everything needed to live a life for Christ when he chooses to receive Jesus into his life. He is empowered with the Holy Spirit. He changes his perception of the flesh, the world, and his involvement with God in his lifetime.
The Bible recorded many accounts of what constitutes a born again Christian. A born again Christian never treats Jesus as a pass to heaven. Jesus becomes the Lord and not just a fire insurance policy.
