The Hebrew language does not have a present continuous tense. That means there is no sentence to describe an ongoing process. This can impact our understanding when we read the Bible. To love God = to keep on loving Him. To pray = to keep on praying. To gather = to keep on gathering. To forgive = to keep on forgiving. To worship = to keep on worshipping. What a perspective! This isn't a call to keep trying. It is a call to keep on being the person God has called you to be.
