God created the universe by speaking words in the first few verses in Genesis. The law of the first occurrence was highly regarded by the Hebrew scholars. Speaking words then possess great power. There were cautious about using the tongue carefully in scriptures. We need to take heed of this in our days as we have not been able to control our tongue even with such advancement in technology and science. On the other hand, we can use our mouth to speak powerful words. At times it was referred to as a medicine that brings healing (Proverbs 15). Words create. There are successful people who attributed their success back to a time when certain words were spoken to them. We are not playing God in believing that our words contain power. Jesus said that if a man has faith and speak to the mountain (Matthew 17). The words He used was specific. Speak to the mountains and not pray to the Father. Jesus taught us that our speech contains power. We must use our words carefully.
