When we want to emphasize a certain point, we use the exclamation marks (!). In SMS and emails, we use CAPS. However, in Hebrew writings, the author repeats words and phrases to emphasize the point. At the beginning of leadership in the book of Joshua, the term Be Strong and Courageous repeated 4 times in the first chapter. Joshua the leader is told again and again to be strong and courageous. We have the privilege to see that the whole book the Godly leader led the people with the principles which can be summed up in 2 Ms. Moral and Morale. Moral standards were given to the people of God and blessings could only be given to them when they obey the commandments. God desires His people to live a certain way. A better way. Morale was very important as the Israelites entered the promised land. There were wars to be fought and morale was an important factor in war. In fact, the people of the land were fearful and their morale was melted. May we ask ourselves if we constantly promote Moral excellent and lifting Morale as we serve the Lord. M&M is a must.
