What is it?

The story of God feeding His people with Manna was a significant one. Food is essential to keep us alive. Unlike plants, we cannot produce our own food (from my son's textbook). The story of the Manna, however, provided us with a few important lessons whereby missing it would be a great loss. First and foremost, what is Manna? What is it? Yes, Manna means what is it? The noun itself equates to a question. Interesting. Look at the way Manna was to be gathered and consumed in Exodus 16:11. It was meant as a portion of daily food. It was not to be kept for tomorrow and yesterday's portion would rot. What can we learn from that? What is it that we should gather or needed to work on today? What is it that was left that we should throw away today? What is it can become full of meanings day after day? This reminds us of the importance of our daily spiritual food. We are not to rely on yesterday's nourishment but a fresh daily consumption. It is not meant to be kept but to put into use today. Gather, eat, and share with no leftover for it will rot tomorrow.
