Believers are caught between grace and obedience. While the power of grace works wonders, the obedience to God's law is evidence of a Godly person. Apostle Paul looked at the law of God in the perspective worthy of careful examination. He considered the law of God holy. It has never been part of the law that makes us sinful. The problem is sin that is in us all along. The law reflected the sin in us that we may understand the need for a Saviour. Not more discipline. The law hence is a holy ordinance used by God to reflect the truth in us. Sinners whose hope is in Jesus alone. May we learn to love the law; as God desires the best for His people when they live according to them in obedience. Romans 7:12-14 KJV Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. Emphasis mine.
