Psalm 85:10 KJV Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. When we wronged somebody or did something we later regret, we wish we would be forgiven. Sometimes these longing for forgiveness abides with us for years. There are people who were buried with regrets. All that was needed was mercy and peace. When somebody wronged us, however, at times it hurts so badly that we wish severe judgment comes upon the offender immediately. We harbor hatred and bitterness for years and we hope we live to see what punishment the offender deserves. Many died without forgiving the offenders. All that was needed was truth and righteousness. Jesus' death on the cross opens a new dimension where mercy and truth meet and where righteousness and peace kissed. Jesus's death makes forgiveness possible and at the same time righteousness fulfilled. This new dimension gives a perfect balance and hopes to every living person.

May knowing Jesus release you from the bitterness and hatred. May knowing Him also set you free from the guilt that held you captive.
