Jesus was talking to Samaritan, touching leper, and dining with the tax collector. People of high religious status did not such things. In fact, they shunted such people fearing that they may be stained associating with them. Many people come to church service these days. Many left. There is a strange mindset that church service is for those who are good and disciplined. Hence when one felt that he or she is not good enough, they stop attending church service. Jesus commended a sinner's prayer in the temple during His time. He claimed that the sinner's prayers were heard and not the self-righteous pharisee. Maybe recognizing how wretched we are opening our eyes to the Glory of our heavenly Father more because that is when grace becomes abundant. May churches receive anyone of any status and even let them involve in the service. You have a problem with that?
