The story was told about a lady who received a call from the LORD while praying to purchase a machine to print Bibles.
She diligently started saving for the printing machine for a few years.
A disastrous flood came to her village and many people were left homeless.
The lady decided to use her savings to build homes and to provide daily necessities for the village. She had to postpone the Bible printing project.
Years later, her savings grew and she was ready to purchase a printing machine. An earthquake struck her town. The lady once again donated her savings to meet the needs of the people. Many benefited from her kind donation.
Yet a few years, the lady pass on with savings almost enough to purchase the latest Bible printing machine.
During the service, the head of the village announced that they will carry on the Bible printing project which the lady had left undone. If she had not used her resources the way she did, she might only have her Bibles beside her wake today.
May this story reminds us that beauty arises from the journey serving God and not just getting the things done.
