The nativity story has been told countless times in churches during Christmas. It was a very important and significant history of God fulfilling His promise of a savior. In the midst of the story, a righteous man Zacharias was told by angel Gabriel about the birth of John. He did not believe it was possible as he and his wife Elizabeth was old and he was struck with the disability to speak. On the day when his child was supposed to be circumcised, Zacharias obeyed in giving the name John and immediately he gained back his speech. (John 1). In our days unbelieve has taken more hostages than we can ever imagine. We talk about God is able to do the impossible in any circumstances but we live with the security of physical reality. We replace prayers with doing something first, just in case God doesn't act. We trust the numbers in our bank account then God being able to provide us supernaturally. We are somewhat like Zacharias and many of us are unable to witness as a result.

May we learn to believe what the Lord reveals to us and quick to come back to the path of belief anytime we doubt.
