The Power of Attendance

Attendance The most important aspect of a believer of God is to practice the presence of God. God is everywhere and although there are passages in the Bible whereby God turns His face away from evildoers. God is never absent. Many mature Christian can trace their way of practicing the presence of God by attendance. I talk about attendance because I have discovered there is power in the gathering of God's people. Jesus promised He will be there if we are gathered in His name. Visit a Christian seminar and you will realize that majority of them who attend are already people who serve the Lord actively. Ironically, these sessions were sometimes meant for younger or believers who needed help or training. Have you ever dragged your feet to a Christian gathering but left ministered and was glad you attended the session? Most believers had. Institutions also deducted from studies that students who have good attendance behave and perform better than those who do not. We cannot underestimate the power of the Christian environment and gatherings. Absent can become habitual. It becomes easier once a person takes the first step of skipping gatherings. The Hebrew writer mentioned this thousand of years ago and it is still true today. Hebrews 10:23-25 KJV Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. May we believe in a God who works in partnership with His people. May we become people who do not forsake the assembly of God's people.
