My Sink was Choked.

We were all dressed for the church today. After helping the boys with their hair, we could all set off. Before that, I must get rid of the hair gel on my fingers. I walk to the sink, as usual, wanting to release some running water over my fingers. I noticed the sink was flooded with some water at the left sink. We have a dual sink. I thought with some pumping using the suction tools, I should clear the choke in no time. The sink I have is a dual-type. The moment I pump the one on the left, water will gush out from the right. I give the a few pumps but water just raises from the right sink. So I tried a few hard pumps. It was a mistake. The water gushes out from the right sink and spilled on my hand and body. I was fuming. I tried pumping the left again with an inlet stopper on the right, it didn't help either. The sink we have is covered by a cabinet right below where we store our pots and pans beneath, as it is part of the kitchen. I opened the cabinet and noticed water leaking from the dirt cap into the pots and pans. It was messy. I removed the pots and pans, remove the dirt cap, flushing out the dirty water into a pail, apply thread sealant tape, and reinstall the cap. It ruined my day. Getting myself dirty after you change really pissed me off. It was just then I was reminded that God must be feeling the same. Relationship with God can be stained and at times it got so bad as a choked sink. Water just cannot flow through. This incident reminded me that I need to clear my life of small things that sets itself against my relationship with God. Don't wait till the sink is choked. May we start with little steps of clearing our lives. It could be habits, sins, or time wasted. Now back to the sink. I came back after church, poured baking soda and vinegar into both water inlets. The choke persisted. I used my vacuum cleaner (water type) and sucked everything out from the inlet and the water now flows smoothly. Ask God to do a purging in your life. Jesus' work on the cross is able to do just that. Don't become a choking sink. Jesus said," Go and sin no more."
