We pay no attention to people who serve God because people should serve God if they love God. Apostle Paul gave a couple of advice to the church of Thessalonica and he started with this. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 KJV And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. I remember a time when I grew as a Christian and I became very critical. Critical of Christian leaders, critical of how the church operates, critical of what is taught over the pulpit. I was very serious about my walk with God and it seemed that everything was not done in a way that pleased the Lord. If God is working His standard could not be that low. In everything, I thought they could have done it better. That period of time I could not enjoy gatherings. I could pick up errors spoken over the sessions and that left me frustrated many months. This took a turn when I realized that I wasn't perfect either. I began to look not at how much I loved the Lord but how much He loved me and others. That started to change me. Months passed and criticism started to diminish and patience started to build. I was able to be at peace among the people of God. I started to look at those who are serving the Lord and was able to appreciate them. I am still learning to esteem them highly in love. When I came to this scripture, I could understand the reason why God, through Apostle Paul, placed that advice before the rest. For without this right attitude you will not find peace among others.

May we start to see the people who serve God with a different eye. To know them, to esteem them, and to love them.
