Weapon of Mass Destruction

There was a man named Samson. He was not a forgiving person. His quest for revenge was relentless. His life displayed one great truth - Revenge is the weapon of mass destruction. Judges 15 begins with Samson being denied his pleasure with his wife and he was angry. He first caused economic destruction to the Philistines by burning up the field with the most unorthodox method - firing up 300 foxes to the crops. The Philistines then decided to take the lives of Samson's wife and his father in law in revenge. Samson then vowed to inflict more pain on the Philistines. Despite the nation's plea for Samson to surrender to the Philistine, Samson went to carry out a killing spree with a donkey's jawbone. He killed 1000 people with the supernatural strength God has given him. Of course, the story does not end here. The Philistine since then never cease to seek for an opportunity to get even with Samson. The story ended with all of them dying together. What a history for Samson and the Philistines. This all begins with a single idea - revenge.
May we always ask ourselves if revenge is really worth it. It leaves everyone in hatred and create a desire to cause hurt and damage to another. May we think twice about revenge as it is a weapon of Mass Destruction.
