Daniel and the Bumper Sticker

Almost every child knows the Sunday school story - Daniel in the lion's den. The plot was simple, Daniel, a faithful man of God chose to pray when the law did not allow it. Daniel was convicted and had to be thrown into the lion's den. Of course, the story had a good turn when God shut the lions' mouth and Daniel was saved and sound. It makes a perfect Sunday school material. There was a car bumper sticker that reads, "If Christianity is illegal, will there be enough evidence to convict you?" Think about that. Carrying a Bible does not make you a Christian,  reading the Bible does not make you a Believer, and attending a Christian gathering a church do not make you a Disciple. Preaching can mean you are a speaker, giving can make you a generous person, and doing good can give you a good name. Daniel's faith and  walk with God caused the pagan king to visit him with these words: And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Daniel 6:20. May we live our faith in such a way as Daniel did. Convicted if the bumper sticker is a reality.
