It is one thing to fall in love, and the other to stay in love. What a fascinating statement. It is easy to fall in love but it takes effort to stay in love. Can I get an Amen from the married couple? This statement is true for all areas of our lives. Staying in love works in relationships, friendships, and fellowships. Staying in love is what motivates us consciously help us make better choices of words and deeds, knowing that these efforts will eventually not be wasted. That is hope and that is love in action. Jesus used a different metaphor when He spoke of the vine and branches in John 15. He encouraged His followers to stay with Him, abide in Him, and draw strength from Him. To be apart from Him nothing would be accomplished. We can see here that the following is a continuous action, not just an acquaintance. In Antioch Chapel, we hope to provide an environment for believers to stay in love with Jesus. It requires time, maturity, and constant adjustment. Staying in love with Jesus and each other will ultimately count for eternity.
