Jesus arrived at Gadarenes, a pagan land where herding pigs were big business. There was someone in trouble. This man was plagued by evil spirits and no man was able to help him. When Jesus came his way the man with the evil spirits fell down before Him. Records tell us that there were legions in the man. They begged not to be punished before their time and asked Jesus to cast then into the swain herd instead. A large number of pigs then run and drowned into the water. When news spread abroad, we expect people to be amazed who Jesus was but instead, Jesus was asked to leave the town because He affected their business. We have to ask ourselves if Jesus is whom we seek daily or our businesses mean more than Him. On many occasions we might have invited Jesus to leave because He affected areas of our lives; be it money, time, character, habits, words, or a simple call to follow His ways.
