Circular Job?

Spiritual life is the connecting relationship one has with God. It is mutually exclusive from the physical location as some would call God as the God of a certain place (Luke 11:1). A certain place implies anywhere. In the latter part of Colossians 3, Paul encouraged his readers who were servants to be in singleness of mind to serve God and not merely to impress men. He claimed that such workers would in time receive a reward from the Lord because anyone who works that way is indeed serving the Lord. This truth has great implications on the way we look at "circular" work. Many believers today deemed full-time Christian ministry a special calling. The church is more important than "circular" work and if anyone absent from church to do such work is deemed to have set priorities wrong. The letter to the Colossians contains no such message. Work and serving God with the right attitude and mindset superseded any kind of work itself. Regardless they were performed at the workplace or in church. May we be found a worker for the Lord where ever we are. Be it at work or at home or at Christian gatherings.
