The Jew study the Torah in great detail. Anything that occurred the first time in the Torah was taken with special attention. That led us to consider when was love first mentioned in the Torah? Since God is love, we might get to learn something from whence it was mentioned.
Love was first mentioned in the record of Abraham towards Isaac. Genesis 22:2. It was tangible, father to son relationship. Abraham's response shadowed God's way of showing love to the world. John 3:16.
The story of first love will always be remembered. It was indeed a powerful one. Today we do not even know what occupies first place in our lives or what is our first love. If that or who is anything besides God, we may want to lay it down before God and let God take first place instead. No one says it is easy, but it is possible.
PS. Isaac later learn to loved Rebekah, could that love Isaac experienced caught on in his life?
