Washing of Hands

There was a time not even the one holding power can subdue the majority. Pontius Pilot was the man of power in the time of Christ Jesus. He was advised by his wife not to have anything to do with Jesus' death. He wasn't for Jesus' execution as he believed that Jesus did nothing to deserve the death sentence. Yet when the majority wanted Jesus crucified, he gave in to their request. His act of washing his hands signified he did not want anything to do with the decision. The majority won in releasing Barabbas. In our life journey, we may face the same kind of challenge as Pilot. May we, do more than just washings of hands. May we stand for what is right and true. May we not succumb to the pressure of the majority and be faithful to God and His instructions.
