The Valley of Berachah

Have you ever come to a place where you know not what to do? Many of us do. At times the challenges ahead look so great that we are unable to do anything on our part. When that day comes, remember the Valley of Berachah. Jehoshaphat was at wit's end in 2 Chronicles 20. Great armies surrounded his kingdom and he did not know what to do next. Hence he declared: 2 CH 20:12 KJV O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. In the moment of desperation King Jehoshaphat did one thing he could - keep the people's eyes upon God. Look up to Him and nothing else. The record showed us that God delivered the Israelites with a great victory and abundance of spoil in that battle. God fought for them! Have you ever had anyone fought for you? You can remember what security and confidence you have with someone bigger, stronger than the enemies you are facing. We can face any challenges with God on our side but I rather learn to stay on God's side when facing all challenges.
May we remember the Valley of Berachah and keep our eyes on God in all circumstances.
