As a Christian, we speak of God in these 3 spiritual factors - Facts, Faith, and Feelings.
These factors are connected in such a way that if we one from the others, it results in unbalance judgment in spiritual matters.
First of all, spiritual matters and physical matters do not separate. Just as our body is a spiritual being, the soul is a spiritual one and dwells in the body. God chose to incarnate as Jesus - Spirit (God is a spirit) in Jesus (He became flesh). Hence the Bible speaks of no separation of physical and spiritual matters. We can be carnally minded or spiritually-minded.
Christian faith is based on Facts. Moses, David, Joseph, and Jesus are all historical Facts. These Facts are important for us to learn from maps that were once traveled and drawn. To help us walk wisely in our faith.
The element of Faith is important in every spiritual journey. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Faith is putting trust in. Just as you will sit on a chair without thinking twice if it will carry your weight, faith is putting trust in God that He is there and He is for you. Fact states that a person that seeks God will find Him because when we do seek God, our selfish desires became unimportant. Seekers of God will seek to understand facts and put trust in it.
The Feelings are one part that most spiritual people want to avoid. People often think that a spiritual person appears cool, composed, and free from emotion. They face challenges without feelings. That is far from the truth. Jesus had compassion, He was angry, He grieved, He marveled at the centurion's faith and He welcomed children (you didn't see that coming). Detaching feelings from faith is not a balanced one. We must be true to how we feel like Moses, the psalmist, David, Mary, and Jesus.
How do we balance these 3 spiritual factors?
Organize it such that Facts come first, put Faith based on Facts, and live out the Faith with true Feelings.
