In Proverbs 7 it talks about a lady assassin. There are characteristics in her that lure victims to her. These are her tactics:

1) She uses flattery v.5 - sweet words from her mouth to make you let down your defenses.

2) She chooses weak targets v.7 for sure success.

3) She hangs out at dark places v.9 to arouse curiosity.

4) She dressed sexy v.10 for attraction.

5) She is bold v.11-13 to show affection.

6) She assures security v.14 by fulfilling religious requirements.

7) She gives you attention v.15 that you seek after.

8) She is prepared to give you sensual pleasure v.16-18 from your nose to your skin.

9) She assures your privacy v.19-20.

10) She seeks to kill you like she killed many others. v.22-27

This passage should be read in conjunction with Numbers 25. It was so unthinkable for people who experienced the Lord's deliverance and to turn away from God. Yet it happened to the Israelites. The Bible tells us they committed whoredom with the daughters of Moab. The weapons used by lady assassin is just too effective.

Proverbs 7:4 urge us to have another woman instead - her name is Wisdom (wisdom means applied knowledge). She will take care of us and provide us safety.

May we learn from sister wisdom and flee from lady assassin.
